• Junior & Senior Beta

Beta has been a big part of MDCA since 1975. The Beta Club is extremely active in our local community. Each year they collect money and supplies for the American Cancer Society, Toys for Tots, Lake Cares Food Pantry, and the Ronald McDonald House, just to name a few.

In 2011, five juniors launched The Way, a service-led service club named after the early Christians described in the book of Acts. The founders are Josef Alleyne, Davis Brown, Wes Means, Chandler Larson, and Austin Warren. 

The Way currently partners with the local Kiwanis Club to provide more opportunities to service in the community. 

• Student Association

The goal of the student association is for student leaders to organize activities and events to promote a unified and engaging atmosphere at MDCA. There will be four committees each made up of 2-4 students: communications, student life, school spirit, spiritual life. Students will plan a back to school bash, pep rallies, Homecoming, theme nights for sporting events, and service projects just to name a few.

• Yearbook

Students develop fundamental skills in the production of journalism across print, multimedia, web, and broadcast/radio platforms and to develop knowledge of journalism history, ethical use, and management techniques related to the production of journalistic media. Our Yearbook Club works hard to publish a detailed yearbook each year for MDCA. 

• Band

Our band program starts in the 5th grade with beginning band. We offer a jazz band, marching band, and pep band. Our band also performs each year at the following events: Christmas concert, Veteran's Day Program, Spring Concert, and a district Solo and Ensemble event.
