Back to School Prayer Ideas for Students and Teachers

As we embark on the 2017/18 school year, let’s take a moment to concentrate on prayer. Mount Dora Christian Academy is blessed to have a group of moms who are willing to be prayer warriors for all of our students, staff, faculty, administration, board members and our school.  Here are some great scripture and prayer ideas for our students and teachers as we come together and conquer our education goals for the next school year! At MDCA, strengthening faith is our top priority.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

Let us pray for our teachers and students that they may have Peace, Protection, Passion and Perspective.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity.” 2 Peter 3:17-18

“Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.” 1 Samuel 12:24

“Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2

If you are interested in joining our Moms in Prayer group, the first meeting of 2017/18 will be on September 7, 2017 at the student center beginning at 8am.

In the lyrics of the song, There is a Balm in Gilead it says,

‘If you cannot preach like Peter, if you cannot pray like Paul, You can tell the love of Jesus and say, “He died for all.”‘

Come and pray with us or just come and be with us as we pray! For more information you may contact Andrea Carter at 352.383.2155 x204 or [email protected].
