Remembering Coach K
Coach Kaylyn Bayly, June 25, 1968–June 13, 2022

A 26-year educator, Coach Bayly began her teaching career at 16th Street Middle School and then St. Petersburg Challenge Elementary. She began her coaching career at Lakewood High School in 1991 and finished her career at Countryside High School, where she taught and coached Volleyball, Flag Football, and Softball for 20 years.
A Coach Bayly vs. Mr. Coach Bayly game took place in 2016 at Lake Brantley, where Lake Brantley defeated Countryside 2-1 on what these two siblings joked was a "questionable" call. In 2017, Lake Brantley played Countryside at the Canterbury School of Florida, where Lake Brantley won 4-1 on a 3-run homer in the 10th inning. Coach K Bayly finally avenged the loss with a 5-4 Countryside win over Lake Brantley in the finals of the Doc for Life Tournament in Ocala. This victory came after Brantley had won the last nine games.
