Spring Tryout Information

Our MDCA spring athletic seasons are quickly approaching. Please review important information and tryout schedules for spring athletic options.

Reminder: 

Students MUST have their athleticclearance.com account completed and MUST show a CLEARED status in order to participate in tryouts. (Instructions attached for anyone who has not completed this process yet). Individuals that do not complete this will NOT be eligible to participate in tryouts. Physicals must be completed on the FHSAA EL2 and EL3 forms only. No other forms will be accepted. Click here for more information on athletic clearance.

-Students must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA to be eligible to participate 

-Athletes will be assigned to rosters based on their skill level. We can only roster a certain number of athletes per team so cuts will be made at all levels if necessary. 

 

🐾Boys Weightlifting

Who: Boys in 6th-12th grade 

When: Practices begin 1/12     To start out the season, we will offer two options for practice sessions: 

Option 1- 6:45a.m.-7:50a.m.- M, T, Th, Fr

Option 2- 3:30p.m.-4:45p.m.- M, T, Th, Fr

Where: MDCA Weightroom 

New members are encouraged to learn how to move safely and efficiently around the barbell, NOT how much they can lift. Weightlifting is an encouraging atmosphere. Safety and technique are a priority!!!
