Visual Arts

Mount Dora Christian Academy’s Visual Arts program nurtures creativity, confidence, and collaboration by encouraging students to express themselves through a wide variety of artistic
media. Our goal is not only to build technical skills but also to inspire students to see art as a reflection of God’s truth and beauty.

A Faith-Filled Foundation

Rooted in the Florida State Standards and the National Core Arts Standards, MDCA’s art
curriculum also emphasizes a biblical worldview, teaching students that God’s truths form the
foundation of creativity and artistic expression. This approach helps students understand that
their gifts can be used not only for personal fulfillment but also to glorify God and inspire others.

A Creative Pathway

The Visual Arts program at MDCA provides a continuous pathway from elementary through
high school, ensuring that students grow step by step in technical skill, creative expression, and
artistic confidence. Whether experimenting with new media or producing advanced studio
projects, MDCA artists are encouraged to explore, innovate, and reflect the beauty of God’s
creation through their work.
