Music at Mount Dora Christian Academy gives students opportunities to develop their voices, grow as musicians, and experience the joy of making music together. From foundational music experiences to chorus, keyboarding, and performance, students build skills and confidence through music throughout their years at MDCA.
Build a Foundation in Music
Music education begins with opportunities to listen, move, sing, create, and explore. As students develop, they build an understanding of rhythm, melody, musical expression, and performance while discovering their own interests and abilities.
These experiences provide a foundation for students who want to continue singing, performing, playing an instrument, or simply developing a lifelong appreciation for music.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

As students enter middle school, opportunities expand for those who want to develop their vocal abilities, strengthen musicianship, and experience performing as part of an ensemble.
HIGH SCHOOL
Grow as a Musician
High school students can continue developing their musical abilities through chorus and other music opportunities that challenge them to grow in technique, expression, confidence, and performance.
More Than a Performance
Performing together teaches students to listen—to the music and to one another. Rehearsals and performances require preparation, discipline, cooperation, and the willingness to contribute to something larger than oneself.
Whether singing in chapel, performing in a concert, or sharing music at a special event, students experience the connection and community music can create.
