The band program at Mount Dora Christian Academy offers students a dynamic environment to grow as musicians, performers, and leaders. From their first introduction to instruments in elementary school through advanced ensembles in high school, MDCA students are given the opportunity to develop their skills and share their love of music with the community.
A Musical Pathway
The MDCA band program provides a seamless pathway from elementary through high school,
allowing students to build step by step in both skill and confidence. Along the way, they discover the value of discipline, teamwork, and the joy of creating music together. At MDCA, band is more than a performance group—it is a community where students use their talents to inspire
and enrich those around them.
Performance Opportunities
Band students at every level are showcased throughout the year. Highlights include the annual
Christmas concert, spring concert, and participation in large-scale campus events. Students
also strengthen their individual musicianship by preparing and performing solos—whether in
class, at concerts, or through district Solo and Ensemble events.
