Financial Aid Resources
At MDCA we know a Christian education may not be in everyone’s budget. So we offer multiple resources for your child to receive the education they deserve.
Mount Dora Christian Academy seeks to provide financial aid to those students in grades K-12 whose family can provide documentation of need. Student employment, academic merit scholarships and athletic awards are not offered. Our goal is to help children with financial limitations receive a Christian education, develop leadership potential, and reach their God-given dreams and aspirations. The tuition assistance program helps to achieve social and economic diversity within our school community. This goal is an integral and respected part of our school's philosophy.
Financial aid is offered as a reduction of full tuition, which is determined through an analysis of family financial need. Financial need is determined by an independent source, and all information is confidential.
Florida Tax Credit Scholarship
Mount Dora Christian Academy is a participating school for the Florida Tax Credit (FTC) Scholarship Program. Scholarship funding organizations (SFOs) are responsible for the receipt and distribution of contributed funds to eligible students. Scholarships are awarded to low-income students to attend a private school. Step Up for Students and AAA Scholarship Foundation are the two SFOs eligible to participate in the FTC program. The scholarships cover up to $6,825 for private school tuition. There is no fee to apply for the FTC scholarship and they only accept online applications. We urge you to apply as soon as possible. Funds are limited and the first applications completed will be first served. Applications are complete when all documents have been submitted.
