Continuous Enrollment

MDCA utilizes a Continuous Enrollment (CE) process, which simply means that once your student is enrolled at MDCA, he or she is continuously reenrolled each year until graduation or you tell us otherwise. Each February 1, we will automatically reenroll your student​ for the following school year unless you opt out of your CE contract by January 31 by completing a Nonreturning Student form. 

Tuition and fees for the following school year are posted on the school website in early January.

Yes.  An annual deposit for each family for the following school year will be posted to your FACTS tuition account on February 1 of the current school year. The deposit amount may change at MDCA’s discretion. The deposit secures a seat for your child(ren) and is a commitment to MDCA that your child(ren) will attend for the upcoming school year.

The annual deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Exceptions may include the following: 

• In the event of an unplanned move 30 miles or more
• In the event MDCA terminates the enrollment agreement for the upcoming school year
• In the event of a hardship (hardship cases require the approval of the vice president of finance)

Nothing! Under the CE Contract, your child is automatically reenrolled each year on February 1.

 If you need to make changes to your payment method, please log into your FACTS tuition account from the FACTS family portal during the CE Status Change Period in January. If you need to change your payment plan, contact Sue McGranaghan in the business office at 352-720-0916 or sue@mdcacademy.org.
 

While we pray that 100% of our families plan to return for another year, we are also aware that situations can change. You will be given an opportunity to cancel your CE contract during the CE Status Change Period from January 4-31. If you elect not to attend MDCA for the upcoming school year (or if you are unsure about your plans), you can contact Natalie Yawn in the Enrollment Management Office (natalie.yawn@mdcacademy.org or 352-729-9008) in writing or by submitting the Nonreturning Student form by January 31. Your student will not be reenrolled on February 1, and you will be released from the financially binding CE contract. Your student's seat will be released and no longer guaranteed for the upcoming school year. If you had previously been awarded financial aid, that amount is forfeited to other families in need.

Per the terms of the CE contract, you will incur 10% of the remaining balance for the academic year for which the student enrolled if the student withdrawal notification is received after May 31.

MDCA offers need-based financial aid to qualifying families using FACTS Grant & Aid to determine need. Grant & Aid awards must be applied for annually. MDCA may not be able to meet 100% of the demonstrated need for each applicant, and frequently, the number of qualified applicants exceeds the tuition assistance resources of the school. Therefore, there is no guarantee that every qualified applicant will receive tuition assistance. Deadlines for submitting completed tuition assistance applications are as follows:

Current MDCA Families: Application opens Nov. 1. Awards are issued beginning February 1. 

Families who have not communicated a need for financial aid but have started the application and NOT SUBMITTED all required documentation by January 31 will be automatically reenrolled per the terms of the CE contract without a financial award.

New Families: Applications open February 1 and will be awarded based on remaining funds.

If your family decides to return after canceling the CE contract, you would reapply as a new student and your application will be considered with other new families. Students will be accepted based upon available openings in the grade or, deferred/waitlisted with other new students. All new student fees are applicable. If financial aid had been previously awarded and forfeited, it will be reassessed based upon available funds at that time.
