March 30 – May 1 Remote Learning for Students.  All extra-curricular activities will remain suspended.

The Chicken Supper, which was rescheduled for April 24, 2020, has been canceled. We hope to see everyone back for the full slate of Chicken Supper events scheduled for the 2020-2021 academic year. Those dates will be made available once they have been scheduled.

Elementary

Student Responsibilities:

  • Daily: Access Facebook Live at 8:30 a.m. for the Pledge of Allegiance, prayer, devotional thoughts, and announcements.
  • Chapel from 3-30-20 can be found here
  • Access Canvas daily.
  • Using the calendar and the overview posted in the module, complete readings, videos, and assignments. 
  • Submit assignments by the due date and time. If you experience a challenge communicate proactively with your teacher. 
  • If you encounter a problem with Canvas, submit a help ticket here
  • Weekly: Look ahead in the module and stay aware of upcoming due dates, projects, and assessments. 

Tips for a successful remote learning experience

  • Make sure you have your Canvas log-in and are able to access all of your courses. 
  • Make sure you are able to connect to the internet from home. 
  • Have a speaker or headphones available. 
  • Have a microphone available. 
  • Have a dedicated workspace away from distractions. 
  • Create a daily schedule to keep yourself on track academically. Allow time in your schedule for a break if you need it. 
  • Log-in daily and do the daily assignments. Don’t allow yourself to fall behind. 
  • Communicate with your teacher if you do not understand the assignment or need extra help. Teacher office hours and contact information are posted in each Canvas course.
