High school at MDCA challenges students to grow academically, deepen their faith, discover their strengths, and prepare for life beyond graduation. Through rigorous coursework, advanced academic opportunities, personalized guidance, and a supportive Christian community, students are equipped to take their next steps with confidence and purpose.

Through Bible courses, chapel, service, classroom conversations, and relationships with Christian teachers, students have opportunities to deepen their understanding of Scripture and develop a faith that extends beyond their years at MDCA.

In high school, students build on a strong academic foundation through increasingly rigorous coursework and greater choice in the subjects they study.
Project Lead the Way (PLTW)
Through PLTW, students engage in hands-on, project-based learning designed to strengthen critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, and real-world application.
MDCA offers PLTW coursework in three areas:

Computer Science: Students explore computing, technology, and the role they play in solving real-world problems.

Engineering: Students use the engineering design process to create, test, analyze, and improve solutions.

Biomedical Science: Students investigate topics related to human health and medicine through hands-on, problem-based learning.
Biomedical Sciences Institute
Students with a particular interest in science and healthcare can take their learning further through MDCA's Biomedical Sciences Institute, a specialized program that provides opportunities to explore biomedical science and potential future careers.

A Plan for Life Beyond MDCA
Preparing for life after high school involves more than completing graduation requirements. Our Academic Advising team assists students with course planning, college and career exploration, testing, scholarships, dual enrollment, applications, and other postsecondary opportunities.
When students need additional academic support, the Wishart Academic Success Center provides resources designed to strengthen skills, develop effective learning strategies, and help students become increasingly independent learners.
