Enjoy a great night of basketball while supporting a wonderful cause!

MDCA Third Grader Creed Pettit was diagnosed with Leber Congenital Luxterna (LCA) when he was just a toddler. Since then he has been waiting for the approval of a medication called Luxterna, a gene therapy treatment specifically for LCA. The FDA granted approval in December but the cost of the treatment alone is $850,000 for both eyes. All of the proceeds from this event, including a portion of the gate, will go towards Creed’s treatment.

MDCA Youth Cheer Camp @ MDCA Brackett Gymnasium

Girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to MDCA’s Youth Cheer camp hosted by the MDCA Varsity Cheerleaders. Camp registration forms are available in the elementary office. The cost of camp is $30 and includes a t-shirt. Girls attending camp will get to perform during the half-time show at the boys basketball game against Tavares High School on Friday, February 2nd.  Please contact cindy.brown@mdcacademy.org for more information.
